The Kratki MBM Right 12kW is a premium wood-burning fireplace insert designed to combine the appearance of a modern built-in fireplace with the additional benefit of water heating.
Its integrated water jacket allows heat generated by the fire to be transferred into a compatible central heating system, while still providing direct warmth to the room. With a 12kW nominal output, the MBM delivers an average of 7kW to the water system and 5kW for space heating.
Finished with elegant glazing and a black TERMOTEC-lined combustion chamber, the MBM creates a striking contemporary focal point while achieving an impressive 85% thermal efficiency and A+ energy rating.
Unlike a conventional air-only fireplace insert, the MBM incorporates a water unit capable of transferring a significant proportion of the generated heat into a compatible heating system.
The fireplace has a 27-litre water capacity, maximum operating pressure of 2 bar and an average water output of 7kW, while approximately 5kW is delivered directly into the room.
This makes it an excellent option for homeowners who want the appearance and atmosphere of a real wood-burning fireplace while making greater use of the heat it produces.
The combustion chamber is lined with black TERMOTEC, Kratki’s heat-accumulating material designed to increase the temperature inside the firebox and support efficient combustion.
Two deflectors extend the path travelled by the flue gases, helping to improve combustion efficiency and make better use of the energy generated from the fuel.
The result is an impressive 85% thermal efficiency, with a usable heating power range of 5–14kW.
Combustion air can be supplied directly from outside the property through the integrated 125mm external air connection.
Airflow is regulated using a single control positioned beneath the door, providing straightforward and precise control over the combustion process.
The fireplace uses a dual air-supply system. Primary air assists with lighting and combustion from below, while additional air is directed into the upper combustion chamber to support the burning of gases produced during combustion.
An integrated air curtain system directs air across the glass, helping to reduce soot deposits and keep the viewing area cleaner during operation.
This allows the impressive flame picture to remain visible while reducing the frequency with which the glass requires cleaning.
The combustion chamber is finished with black TERMOTEC lining, giving the fireplace a sophisticated contemporary appearance.
In addition to its visual appeal, TERMOTEC is designed to accumulate heat and increase temperatures within the combustion chamber, supporting efficient combustion.
The specially profiled TERMOTEC base also creates a deeper combustion chamber capable of accommodating logs up to 50cm long.
The body and front of the MBM are manufactured from high-quality steel designed to withstand high operating temperatures.
Heat-resistant ceramic glazing is capable of withstanding temperatures of up to 660°C, while the specially perforated door handle is designed to reduce excessive heat build-up for more comfortable operation.
Solid welding and precisely manufactured steel components provide excellent durability and tightness.
A removable grate and ash pan make routine cleaning and maintenance straightforward.
Adjustable feet allow the fireplace to be accurately levelled during installation, while the movable smoke outlet provides greater flexibility when connecting the appliance to the chimney system and can reduce the need for additional connecting elbows.
The Kratki MBM has been engineered with efficient and environmentally conscious combustion in mind and meets Ecodesign and BImSchV 2 requirements.
It carries an A+ energy rating with an Energy Efficiency Index (EEI) of 111.

The manufacturer warranty does not cover heat-resistant ceramics, including fireplace glass, except where otherwise stated in the applicable warranty terms.
To maintain the validity of the manufacturer warranty, the appliance must be installed, operated and maintained in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and all applicable UK building, ventilation and chimney regulations.
Halcyon Fireplaces will assist customers with valid warranty claims and, where appropriate, liaise with KRATKI on the customer’s behalf.
The manufacturer warranty is provided in addition to, and does not affect, your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
At Halcyon Fireplaces, we want you to be satisfied with your purchase. Due to the size, weight and specialist nature of fireplaces, returns must be handled carefully.
To request a return, please contact us within 30 days of delivery.
For online consumer orders, your statutory cancellation rights include the right to notify us that you wish to cancel within 14 days of receiving the goods. You then have a further 14 days to return the goods.
Returned items must be kept in good condition and, where reasonably possible, returned with their original packaging, pallet and protective materials.
Fireplaces that have been installed, connected, used or damaged after delivery may not be eligible for a change-of-mind return. This does not affect your rights where goods are faulty, damaged on arrival, incorrectly supplied or not as described.
Halcyon Fireplaces can arrange collection from your property at a pre-agreed date. The cost of collecting a non-faulty change-of-mind return will be confirmed before collection and may be deducted from the refund where permitted by law.
No collection charge or restocking charge will apply where goods are faulty, damaged on arrival, incorrectly supplied or not as described.
Where returned goods show handling beyond what would reasonably be permitted when examining them in a shop, we may make a lawful deduction for any reduction in value.
Refunds will be processed after the returned goods have been received or collected and inspected.
Refunds will be made to the original payment method.
Where the statutory cancellation right applies, refunds will be issued within 14 days of receiving the returned goods or receiving acceptable evidence that the goods have been returned.
Where applicable, the original standard delivery charge will also be refunded. Additional charges paid for an enhanced or expedited delivery service are not refundable beyond the cost of standard delivery.
Banks and card providers may take additional time to display the refunded amount.
Fireplaces are heavy and are often delivered on pallets. For safety and to reduce the risk of damage, we recommend using the collection service arranged by Halcyon Fireplaces.
Any collection cost or deduction will be explained clearly before the return is completed.

FREE standard UK delivery is available on orders over £300. Orders below £300 are charged £10.
Most fireplaces are delivered on a pallet using a kerbside delivery service. The driver will unload the order to the nearest safe and accessible point outside the property but cannot move the fireplace inside.
Most orders are dispatched within 3–5 working days unless a different lead time is shown on the product page. Deliveries are normally made Monday to Friday between 9:00am and 5:00pm.
Please make sure there is suitable vehicle access and that someone is available to accept the delivery. Additional charges may apply for missed deliveries, unsuitable access or late changes to delivery arrangements.
Smaller items and accessories may be sent separately by Royal Mail, Parcelforce or another suitable courier.
